Ma'am, OH MY!

Had to post!  Was just on the phone at work, always pickup with saying the  company name, then my male name, and "....how can I help you?"  Now, I haven't been actively trying to feminize my voice, but the whole  conversation, the nice gentleman on the other end referred me as "Ma'am" - and I NEVER corrected him!

Maria, you lucky woman. I don't know what you do for a living, but it sure would have been sweet to get his name and number. I try as often as I can each day, even talking to myself, to try to make my voice softer and to bump the pitch up a bit. But is is always face to face, so others don't see me as Michelle. One day, some day, though; and I won't look back. Keep it up, gurl. Love, Michelle
