Princess Tiffany - Transformation Booth Renovation and Lighting
#1
So i have a couple ideas that i have been sitting on for some time. The first idea is the lighting in the transformation booth at JC. Back in 2016 during one of my transformations, i got a chatting with Roxy as she was applying my makeup about the lighting in the transformation booth. When i had my photo shoot with Bunny after my very first full transformation, either Bunny pointed out the 2 types of lighting or i noticed it and questioned about it. What ever the case, i noticed a BIG difference in the images taken during processing of my images the next day. I believe the incandescent bulb lighting was actually better than the fluorescent lighting.

I am NOT disputing that florescent lighting is terrible, just depends on the makeup one wears as well as the colors of the outfit worn. The lighting used in my schoolgirl transformation photo shoot was actually florescent and i look pretty good in that lighting, believing it to due to the lighter colors of my outfit (all white) and lighter color shades of my makeup. Understand that i am no lighting specialist, nor am i a professional photographer\videographer. Of my first transformation\photo shoot i changed outfits, makeup was still the same. Of many pictures i got taken wearing the all black velvet dress, very few were decent looking in my eyes (florescent lighting) verses many many very good pictures of the other dress i wore (incandescent lighting).

As i was saying earlier, while Roxy was applying my makeup and i started chatting with her about the lighting in the transformation booth, she talked about how daylight can really bring out the colors in the makeup, then something clicked in memory. Many years ago, i discovered these light bulbs that give off actual daylight lighting. I am pretty sure the company that makes them is called X (coded - Not a flat head screw driver but a X screw driver). I am not 100% sure of the name of the light bulb, but believe it was once called Reveal. It looks just like an incandescent bulb, but emits the right temperature, spectrum, and wave length. No doubt, there is a BIG difference. And...what about the use of black light for a more wild effect for those that may seek something more wild and creative in a photo shoot? Imagine that one eh?

But WAIT...there's more. Why stop at upgrading the lighting? Why not a COMPLETE renovation of the entire transformation booth in general? I have mapped out the entire layout of the building, areas of which i have had access to, and can definitely see the transformation booth being relocated AND expanded in a new area in the building. Since October 1st of 2016, i have not been into JC. During my last visit there, i noticed Janet expanded her sales floor, i would say almost double the size, on the opposite side of the building. At the time, the new area was called the dungeon, but after Halloween, was going to be called something else? This is what i was told by the staff when i inquired about it and checked out the area. I was there for my final transformation and outing of 2016.

The large open space, what i call a garage bay, was blocked off to divert\direct traffic to the other side of the building, what i call the second garage bay, where the new expansion of the sales floor was at about 80% completed. Well....as i walked over to the opposite side of the building to see this new area, i noticed, to my left, a large area of vacant space. A couple months later, i thought about this vacant space and thought that it would be a great place to move the transformation booth to. Out with the old, in with the new. The sales floor has been expanded and is great...why stop there?

By utilizing HALF the space, or at the very least 35%-40% of the space, you can construct one hell of a transformation booth. I can visualize it very well and looks fucking awesome. It's just so much to talk about, type out. But it would look more modernized, very nice, and spacious and can also be universal. If JC was MY business, i would be jumping all over that shit and would be quite impressive.

Just like all my other ideas i have about JC, this too is yet another idea. And as with all of my ideas, i do not expect them to become a reality. It's not my business. I just put out my ideas for the benefit of JC, all gurls that go there, and if lucky...for myself too.

I just noticed this post and I couldn't agree more.  I would add the following: It would be nice to have an area where pictures could be taken with a background other than the interior of the store.  In other words, much like a photographer's studio, a couple of different backdrops that could pull down and which would be large enough to fill the entire background of the photograph, rather than having the counters and clothes racks and wig displays that we see now.  I understand that, before, there wasn't enough room to do that, but now it seems that there might be.

Princess Tiffany,
I recently read someone commenting about lighting on a different site.  It's been a week or so since I read it, but if I recall, the person pointed out that the light bulbs on a makeup mirror should emit at 5,000 to 5,500 kelvin to simulate daylight conditions.  I believe you are correct to say the lighting from the fluorescent bulbs was not that good for pictures.   Your run-of-the-mill incandescent light bulbs emit at 2,300 kelvin.   Not sure about fluorescent but I cannot believe fluorescent would be at 5,000 kelvin.  Sounds like something that JC could improve upon, just by using different light bulbs.
As for the backdrop, having store shelving as the background in your pictures would detract when YOU should be the focus of attention with a nice background.
